MBP 200
The MBP 200: A Powerful Tool for Dynamic Surface Tension Analysis
DataPhysics’ MBP 200 tackles dynamic surface tension measurement with precision. It utilizes the maximum bubble pressure method to analyze liquid solutions.
The MBP 200 precisely controls gas flow through a capillary, forming bubbles at its tip. A high-sensitivity pressure sensor monitors pressure within these bubbles. Based on pressure peaks, the device calculates surface age and dynamic surface tension. Additionally, it employs a valve system to generate variable gas flows, enabling measurements across diverse surface ages.

The MBP 200 excels in analyzing liquids with a wide dynamic range (10-100 mN/m) and surface ages (5 milliseconds – 200 seconds), making it ideal for surfactant solutions.
Key Features
MBP Software: Comprehensive Control and Analysis
Key Features
- Reusable or Disposable Capillaries: Choose between reusable glass or disposable plastic capillaries. Disposable options offer a wider range compatibility and reduce cleaning and contamination concerns.
- High Viscosity Analysis: The MBP 200 handles high differential pressures (up to 3400 Pa), enabling analysis of highly viscous liquids like specific oils.
- Temperature Control (Optional): Optional temperature control units allow measurement of dynamic surface tension across a range of temperatures (-15°C to 135°C).
- Automated Concentration Series (Optional): Integrate the LDU 25 liquid dosing unit for automated concentration series. Analyze dynamic surface tension at various surface ages as a function of concentration (surfactant or additive) in a single run.
- Enhanced User Experience: A splash guard minimizes cleaning needs, while a collision protection mechanism safeguards the capillary and the device from damage.
MBP Software: Comprehensive Control and Analysis
The MBP software empowers the MBP 200 tensiometer for user-friendly control and execution of various measurement methods. Notably, customizable templates enable quick and repeatable routine measurements, enhancing result consistency and comparability. Calibration data can also be conveniently saved and reloaded.
