State-of-the-art technology for thermophysical properties

The NETZSCH LFA 457 MicroFlash® complies with the latest technology for modern laser flash systems. The table-top instrument allows measurements from -125°C to 1100°C using two different user-exchangeable furnaces.

The innovative infrared sensor technology employed in the system enables measurement of the temperature increase on the back surface of the sample, even at temperatures of -125°C.

The instrument can be used for small and large sample sizes of up to 25.4 mm diameter and, with the integrated sample changer, measurements can be run on several samples at the same time.

The vacuum-tight design enables tests under defined atmospheres.

The vertical arrangement of the sample holder, furnace and detector simplifies sample placement and, at the same time, guarantees an optimum signal-to-noise ratio of the detector signal.

The LFA 457 MicroFlash® is the most up-to-date and versatile LFA system for research and development and for all applications involving characterization of standard and high-performance materials in automobile manufacturing, aeronautics, astronautics and energy technology.

Accurate measurements of Heat Build-up or Blow out processes and the determination of the thermal set can be realised by our GABOMETER® system – a development based on the established Goodrich Flexometer.

Both, force and elongation controlled tests can be carried out with this modern type of Flexometer. The GABOMETER® is suitable to improve the thermal dissipation and the durability of semi-finished tire components, dampers or absorbers.

Additionally, the new generation provides the measurement of the material stiffness (E modulus, tan δ - option) and damping.

DMA EPLEXOR High Temperature Series up to 500 N

The EPLEXOR® HT line is the only instrument series on the market which is able to carry out DMA measurements with a maximum dynamic force of 500 N to 1500°C.

Two high-temperature furnaces are available: RT to 1000°C and RT to 1500°C. With a standard furnace (-160°C to 500°C) simultaneously mounted, it is possible to perform consecutive test runs in both the low- and high-temperature range. EPLEXOR® HT instruments can thus cover the entire temperature span from -160°C to 1500°C.

The electronics within the system automatically identify which furnace is currently in use.

DMA EPLEXOR Ultra-High Force Series up to 6000 N

These instruments offer static and additional dynamic force levels from max. ± 2000 N to max. ± 6000 N each, and are thus the perfect choice for investigating the dynamic mechanical (or only static) properties of rigid samples as well as of specimens with larger dimensions – even component parts. Thanks to their modular design, ultra-high force DMTA instruments can accommodate add-ons to additionally carry out tests on such properties as fatigue, heat build-up, blow-out, or rolling resistance.

EPLEXOR Series Up to ±500 N

High-Force DMA/DMTA

The testing instruments of the EPLEXOR® series up to ±500 N enable the dynamic mechanical (or static) characterization of a wide range of different materials including elastomers and polymers, composites, metals, glasses, ceramics, biomaterials and foods, adhesives, and liquids.

The modular design of the high-force DMA/DMTA systems allows for measurements in the tension, compression, bending and shearing modes. The testing machines in this series differ from each other mainly in terms of their maximum dynamic force ranges of ±25 N, ±100 N, ±150 N and ±500 N.

Various add-on options make these testing machines a safe investment for the long-term.
